yes, that's right... easter started out pretty uneventful for us. papa had to work saturday and sunday so logan and i hung out, danced around the house, climbed onto the back of the couch! and broke the world record for how many pieces of banana can fit into a 10 months old's little mouth. when papa finally came home on sunday evening we were all ready to go have easter dinner at grandma and grandpa's house. i managed to throw on a somewhat cute outfit while logan loudly objected because he was obviously going to die of loneliness unless he'd be picked up immediately. i grabbed the child and just ignored the awful hair day. i should have known then that things were starting to take a turn for the worse...
when we finally had everything packed and the babe was safely strapped into the car seat, the car wouldn't start. nothing. not a peep. nada! battery dead. how? only god knows.
so off we went to move everything including the babe into the other car. thank goodness for that good ole' subaru. out of the driveway we pulled and down the street we went... until a certain someone (me) realized she forgot her phone on the kitchen counter. now, i usually don't care at this point and i told the hubby to keep going even though i had been in the process of having a lengthy text conversation with my brother about some important business ;)
so around he turned and back home we went to get the phone. turns out we had also forgotten to move the travel baby seat from my car to his, so we grabbed that too.
in the end easter dinner was quite enjoyable. once we got lots of yummy food in our bellies we had already forgotten about the mess back home. we got to spend time with logan's aunt and uncle, grandma, grandpa and great-grandpa. he was pretty fascinated by the ceiling fan, there were easter presents and eventually the little guy went to sleep for an hour before we made our way back home.
how was your easter weekend?
